Ben pens short letter about Barrow Shipyard

Ambush lowered in to ship lift cut.

You may have seen this very good article in the North West Evening Mail:

Former Barrow shipyard boss speaks out for the first time since shock resignation seven years ago

It features former Shipyard Boss Murray Easton interviewed on his take on the Labour Party and Green Party plans for Barrow’s shipyard. Having read the article I couldn’t help but write to the editor of the North West Evening Mail supporting Mr Easton’s views. Here is the letter I sent in full:

Regarding “Former Barrow shipyard boss speaks out for the first time since shock resignation seven years ago”.

It is vital that people like Mr Easton continue to speak out on protecting submarine construction in Barrow. Most people in Cumbria will agree wholeheartedly with the view point of Mr Easton that not only is an Independent Nuclear Deterrent vital for UK security but the preposterous ideas of the Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour, Tim Farron’s Lib Dem’s and Natalie Bennett’s Green’s are ridiculous and unworkable. To hear someone of Mr Easton’s calibre come out and say their plans of committees, wind farms and abandonment won’t work for the UK and won’t work for Barrow must make them rethink their silly and quite frankly dangerous views.
