Business Recovery Drop-in for Flood Hit Businesses in South Lakeland

A Business Recovery Drop-in session has been set up to provide help and advice to flood hit businesses in South Lakeland.

The informal drop-in session is on Friday 11 December, 12pm to 2pm, where advice will be on offer from South Lakeland District Council and its partners. The session will be held at the Mintworks located on 124 Highgate (former Connexions building).

Included in the advice on offer will be Insurance advice, Food safety, Street Cleansing & Commercial Waste, Business Rates, Utilities/Highways/Environment Agency and Building Control.

Other representatives on hand to offer advice are the Cumbria Growth Hub and Federation of Small Businesses.

Ian Hassall, Assistant Director of Strategic Development, said: “Now that businesses affected have had a few days to take stock, we are keen to offer as much assistance as possible in helping them get back on their feet. Our drop-in session on Friday will get all the important agencies under one roof, so businesses can access the information they need to start to rebuild”

Any businesses that cannot attend the Drop-in at the Mintworks, can access advice by emailing econ.dev@southlakeland.gov.uk or telephoning 01539 793280.
