Meat and Fuel prices come down, e-books and newspapers go up

Inflation stays put at 2.8% for March, but some good data for South Lakes residents

New Government data has shown inflation stayed put at 2.8% for March.

Although inflation has stayed at 2.8% for March one local commentator said there was “good news for residents of South Lakes” as the areas pulling the figure down were meat and fuel costs, vital living costs for local families. Pushing the figure up were items such as e-books and newspapers leaving the figure static at 2.8%.

Ben Berry, an entrepreneur and South Lakes Councillor, said “it is always sad to see inflation rising faster than most peoples wages, but there is good news for local residents with fuel and meat costs coming down.”
