A long serving paramedic has been selected by local Conservatives to stand in the 13th October Windermere by election for South Lakeland District Council. Paramedic Martin Hall said that he stood for selection because he was passionate about Windermere:
“Windermere is a fantastic town and has so much potential. We need a team on the Council who is willing to put the work in to deliver improvements for our residents. My priorities are Cardboard and Plastic recycling from your home, delivering improved NHS services and a vibrant local economy that works for everyone.”
Leader of South Lakeland Conservatives Ben Berry will be on the ballot paper on the same day for the Cumbria County Council by election. He spoke highly of Martin saying:
“Martin would be fantastic for Windermere. His insight and knowledge in areas like the NHS are vital for our work to improve services locally. I look forward to working with him to take our wonderful town forward.”
The by elections take place on Thursday 13th October and are also being contested by the Green, Labour and Liberal Democrat Parties.
