Troutbeck celebrated the Queens 90th Birthday today with two well attended and enjoyed events.
A short service took place at Jesus Church lead by the Reverend David Wilmot at 2.30pm which I was disappointed to miss.
After the chuch service the village met at the Institute where afternoon tea would be served at 3.30pm with everyone welcome from 3pm.
It was fantastic to see so many Windermere and in particular Troutbeck residents there to celebrate our Queen.
As well as cakes and chatting there was a collection well as a raffle. I was lucky enough to win some chocolates!
With a fantastic turn out of young and old the Reverend lead us in happy birthday and the national anthem after having given thanks to those who put the day together.
With a toast the the Queen the festivities came to a close with everyone having having had a fantastic time.
Happy Birthday ma’am from everyone in Troutbeck.
