Windermere Town Councillors and Ben Berry met with National Park planners and Cumbria Highways today to discuss concerns about a new Morrison’s supermarket opening in the town. Increased traffic, access and trolley parks on the street were the main concerns. Commenting Ben said “A Morrison’s Local in Windermere rightly raises attention with the local population. I’m hoping we can work around the issues so we can have a net increase in jobs and more competition for our residents and the site that is of continued benefit of our visitors.”
